CMC Officers

Dr. Benny Tate has served over 20 years as the Senior Pastor of Rock Springs CMC in Milner, Georgia. Under his leadership the church has grown from 50 in attendance to more than 5000. He is a highly sought-after evangelist and gifted motivational speaker. He has accepted the position of President as a volunteer because he believes it is God’s will for his life and he wants our people to come together and make a difference for the Kingdom.

Rev. Phil Smith has served as Senior Pastor of the Mt. Vernon

Congregational Methodist Church in Laurel, Mississippi for over twenty

years. He now serves as pastor of the Faith Community CMC in Soso, MS. Bro. Phil has also served the Congregational Methodist Church as Home

Missions Director and Vice-President. Together with tremendous

knowledge and experience, his unquestionable integrity is paramount to

the success of the CMC.

Mrs. Janet Woods serves the Congregational Methodist Church as General

Conference Secretary and Assistant to the President. Her talents are

indispensible as it relates to the complexities of administering the

important ministries of the entire denomination.

Rev. Hannah Windham serves with her husband, Jacob, as Youth Pastors at the Mt. Vernon CMC in Laurel, MS. They are both graduates of Wesley College; parents to Israel (born April 13, 2012); and vibrant young leaders in the CMC.
